Deconstructing the American Dream
Richard Montoya, Playwright
OISS invites you to an afternoon discussion with Richard Montoya, one of the founding members of Culture Clash, and playwright of American Night: The Ballad of Juan José, featured at Yale Repertory Theatre September 21-October 13. For 25 years Culture Clash has been challenging audiences with provocative performances that deal with race and class in America. Montoya, a Beinecke Fellow at Yale School of Drama, will engage us in an entertaining examination of multiculturalism, stereotypes, and “the American dream.”
