Film: “A Room With a View” (1985)

Directed by James Ivory (not rated; 117 minutes). Based on the novel by E.M. Forster. A young English woman traveling through Italy with her stern chaperone struggles between strict, old-fashioned Victorian values and new, more liberal principles. A discussion with actor Julian Sands and director James Ivory will follow the screening. Sponsored jointly by the Yale Film Study Center and the Yale Center for British Art.
