SAGA Garba Night

The South Asian Graduate & Professional Association (SAGA), in collaboration with the Hindu Students Council & Yale MonstRAASity, brings to you the biggest south Asian dance night on campus! Learn the Indian folk dance form of Garba/Dandiya and sway to the beats of traditional folk tunes till its time to switch on the bollywood vibe! Dress in your traditional best & become a part of the event photoshoot. In celebration of Navratri & Diwali, you can participate in a small aarti (prayer) devoted to Goddess Durga at the beginning of the event. This will be followed by a delicious Indian vegetarian dinner (if you enjoyed the dinner at Diwali Puja, you’ll love this!). The dancing will commence after.

Sponsored by- the Whitney and Betty MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies at Yale, the Office of International Affairs, and the McDougal Graduate Student Life, GSAS.
