At its heart, Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet is a story with great momentum; the struggle with separation and reunification — and a love constantly tested by physical distance and overwhelming obstacles — are themes even more resonant through a physical, as well as theatrical, journey. Instead of taking place in one of our typical venues, this R&J will wander Yale’s campus, using the architecture of Hillhouse Avenue as our scenery, and we will bring the audience along as we roam from place to place on the Montague/Capulet journey.
Please note: this show includes approximately half a mile of walking over two and a half hours, and will take place outside without consistent seating. Please dress appropriately. If this will provide difficulty for you, please reach out to email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will make accommodations as necessary.
