YD is putting on their spring performance this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night at 8pm at the Educational Center for the Arts (55 Audubon St). To guarantee yourself a seat, email yaledancers@gmail.com to make a reservation for the night you would like to attend. Rumor has it there is already a wait list going for Friday and Saturday, so make your reservation ASAP! Tickets are $5 for students with reservations, $6 without reservations. For non-students, tickets are $8 and $10, respectively. Check out their Facebook event page for all the details.
The group prides itself on being the oldest and most respected dance group on campus and let me assure you, it is an accurate and well-deserved reputation. Their fall show (my first time going in my third year here—don’t make my same mistake so late!) was quite literally jaw dropping. Expect to see all styles of dance from ballet to hip hop to Bhangra and expect YD to absolutely kill it in each one of them. You should also be prepared to witness every way the body could possibly contort itself. Words really cannot do justice to a live Yaledancers performance, so just trust us and reserve your tickets ASAP
