Professor David Bromwich

David Bromwich is Sterling Professor of English at Yale and a scholar of Romanticism and modern poetry. His books include “Hazlitt: the Mind of a Critic;” a selection of Edmund Burke’s speeches and letters, “On Empire, Liberty, and Reform;” and an edition of Henry James’s “The Turn of the Screw.” Among the courses he has taught regularly at Yale are “Lincoln in Thought and Action” and “Shakespeare’s Political Plays.”
