Shakespeare in Brief – Macbeth

Location is wheelchair accessible
Please join us this Friday for “Shakespeare in Brief – Macbeth” at the Beinecke Library. Director Sam Lasman and an ensemble of undergraduate actors will lead the performance of a scene from this semester’s production of Macbeth. The performance, on the Beinecke Library mezzanine, will be followed by a gallery talk on Macbeth as encountered in the Beinecke’s current exhibition, “Remembering Shakespeare.” Pairing performance and text, the Shakespeare in Brief series makes visible the connections, and inevitable tensions, between Shakespeare as staged and studied.

Part of Shakespeare at Yale, a semester of special events celebrating the Bard.
