The Yale Symphony Orchestra perform works of Bach alongside Modernist masters Anton Webern and Igor Stravinsky, who’s arrangements of the music of Bach and Gesualdo present a bridge between two distant periods in Classical music. The concert will present J. S. Bach/Anton Webern’s “Musical Offering: Ricercare”, J. S. Bach’s Violin Concerto No. 1 in A Minor, J. S. Bach’s Concerto for Violin and Oboe, Igor Stravinsky’s “Monumentum pro Gesualdo di Venosa ad CD annum”, J. S. Bach’s Harpsichord Concerto No. 5 in F Minor and J. S. Bach’s Violin Concerto No. 2 in E Major
