The story follows Haru – a quiet, shy girl with the very unusual ability of talking to cats. One day, Haru saves an odd-eyed cat from being hit by a truck. That cat is Lune, Prince of the Cat Kingdom who would very much like to make Haru his wife. Haru unintentionally agrees.

A beautiful story of friendship, love, and magic. Whisper of the Heart centers on schoolgirl Shizuku Tsukishima after she makes a chance acquaintance with a boy by the name of Seiji Amasawa and a truly important cat named Baron Humbert von Jikkingen.
