Manifestos for the Living: American Poetry and HIV/AIDS
This talk explores the history of American poetry about HIV/AIDS between 1982 and 2000. Showing how after new treatments were developed and made available during the mid 1990s, poets rewrote their own verses, reconsidered their missions as poets and artists, and began to produce very different bodies of work.
