The Silent Lyre

“The Silent Lyre” is a newly conceived 17th century operatic pastiche, adapted and music directed by Michael Rigsby, executive director of the Elm City Consort. The work will inaugurate the Lighten Theater in Yale’s newly opened Pauli Murray College. Stage directed by Lynda Paul, lecturer in English and Theater Studies and recent graduate of the Yale School of Drama, “The Silent Lyre” will feature professional and undergraduate singers and an ensemble of early musicians drawn from the Elm City Consort. Designed by recent graduates of the Yale School of Drama.

The work will be performed in Italian with English supertitles. Running time is approximately 60 minutes without intermission.
