A DRAMATalk with Michael Mayer, Peter Lerman, Margo Lion, and Amanda Lipitz

Michael Mayer, a director, received a Tony Award for his direction of Spring Awakening, and he was also nominated for a Tony Award for his direction of Thoroughly Modern Millie. Peter Lerman, a composer and lyricist, has written music for a number of musicals and TV shows, including Modern Family. In 2011, Peter received the Stephen Sondheim Young Artist Citation Award. Margo Lion has produced numerous Broadway plays and musicals, and the shows she has produced have received a total of 20 Tony Awards and a Pulitzer Prize. Among many other shows, Margo produced Hairspray and Catch Me If You Can. Amanda Lipitz, also a producer, was nominated for a Tony Award for her work on Legally Blonde The Musical.Amanda also produced Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and created the MTV series Legally Blonde: The Search for Elle Woods. Michael, Peter, Margo, and Amanda are currently working together on the new Broadway play The Performers, starring Cheyenne Jackson and Alicia Silverstone.
