Johnny, a struggling composer, is turning 30. Johnny’s girlfriend Susan wants to move out of New York City. His best friend Michael has sold out, and keeps telling Johnny to come along. And Johnny…can’t decide. Before Jonathan Larson’s name became forever associated with “Rent,” he wrote “Tick, Tick…Boom!”, an autobiographical rock musical chronicling his life as an artist in early-90s New York.
