Robert Crawford, Professor of Modern Scottish Literature, University of St. Andrews

Scotland’s greatest poet, Robert Burns, championed the value of the “independent mind.” Robert Crawford, a Burns biographer and poet, examines whether this means that Burns also supported Scottish political independence.
